Alive Again
by Michelle M. Mead
Out upon a distant light,
Where magic danced in circles bright,
And stars smiled in darkest night,
I found beauty among the trees,
Of purest white and I believed,
In Unicorns of childhood dreams,
Where once I ran in flowered grass,
It seemed that time would never pass,
My youth an endless summer’s day,
When all I had to do was play,
But, alas, soon I grew so old,
And gave up on those stories told,
Yet now before my very eyes,
A Unicorn again will rise,
My youth returned upon this sight,
And with it all my dreams took flight.
