The Lazy Artist
January entranceby Jennifer Broschinsky
Welcome to the January, 2009 issue of EMG-Zine! We open the new year celebrating the Chinese Zodiac symbol of the Ox.
Dependable and tireless workers, Oxen stick to their goals tenaciously. Though they tend to be narrow-minded and judgmental, they can be trustworthy, honorable, and steady companions... and this is what we celebrate this year.
In this issue we welcome new columnist Nicole Cadet! Her inaugural article for her column, "Part-Time Painter", tells us how to get more done by being lazy. (We all need that!) Melissa Acker introduces us to some art exercises to help us keep our art muscles in shape. Ellen walks us through the painting stage of a piece. Plus, we have ox- and cow-themed art and fiction! Enjoy!
