    Sketch Fest

Sketch Fest #13 (lucky 13!) happened on the 25th and 26th of April. New updates this month included the ability for artists to sell their work through the site, with a partial donation going to support Sketch Fest (or an EMG site of their choice, including EMG-Zine!). We also have a facebook page now, thanks to Lisa Cree!!

There is still a good selection of work available! These are a few of my favorites:

    Torn World

May is Sea Monster Month at Torn World! Be on the lookout for sea monster articles, stories, poetry and artwork throughout the month at the Torn World site. You can also watch our twitter for updates!

Our first anthology has gone to the printers! Pre-orders will be available this month, as well!

    Portrait Adoption

Selections of new work at Portrait Adoption:

    And some adopted images!

    EMG-Zine:

$761 / $900 total funding by June 2011. 85% done! If we haven't made this goal, the December 2011 issue will be our last!

We're making really good progress, but EMG-Zine is not safe yet! Any funds that go over our goal go directly towards site improvements (there are so many I want to do!).

    Commission Control

Programming made several leaps forward this last month. The system is far more complex than I was aiming for (isn't that always the case?), but the features are falling into place quite rapidly now, and I've got several artists helping me beta test now. A big thank you, particularly, to Shelley Walker, who found me many bugs to fix!

    Coloring Books:

Artists, let's not forget to be working on Arabian Nights themed work! See all the current coloring books here.

    Fantastic Portfolios:

The queue is empty! Are you brave enough to submit your portfolio?

    EMG Forums

If you'd like more informal peer review of a work in progress, bring your artwork by the EMG forum! Our 'artist group' membership is now available to everyone, without a contract, so you can post your work in a semi-private setting and get some hints about where to take it next. You are also welcome to ask questions about any aspect of EMG, art, business or life in general! The EMG forums.

Ellen Million has always had a passion for projects. Visit her site for prints and embarrassing archives.
