Welcome to the October 2011 issue of EMG-Zine, where our theme is Scandinavian Mythology.

In this month's issue, Ursula answers questions about lighting, rendering drapery, and artist pen names; and Missy walks us through a watercolor piece about the worlds of Norse myth. In our features, Jenny Heidewald gives us a review of Scandinavian Mythology, specifically the Eddas, and Elizabeth Barrette gives us her Part 2 of Appreciating Art. We also have Scandinavian Myth-themed fiction and art. Enjoy!

Jennifer Broschinsky has, since her youth, filled her sketchbooks with things feathered and furred, winged and scaled. She is currently working on a sequential art story called Songseeker, and is working on raising three sons.
